I wait for you.

I wait for you in the afternoon

To come in through the door

And ask me how my day was

The way you always did before.

I look for you around the house

I search but you’re not there

The house it feels so empty

And I can’t find you anywhere

I listen to the radio and hope

They’ll play one of your songs

But then I can’t hear you singing

And the words they just sound wrong

I see your coat, it hangs there

Abandoned on the bedpost

It hangs there lonely just like me

It’s shadow like a ghost
